Opposition Leader Raila Odinga’s advisor, Salim Lone, on Sunday revealed that Wiper Partly Leader Kalonzo Musyoka forced the National Super Alliance (NASA) to postpone its planned inauguration.
In a statement seen by Nationnewspaper.info, Lone explained that since Mr Musyoka is not in the country, there is no way the former Prime Minister could have been inaugurated minus his deputy.
He further noted that Wiper had requested for the rescheduling of the event until its leader travels back home from Germany.
“The postponement of the eagerly-awaited swearing-in of the winner of the 8th August election will come as a great disappointment to the vast majority of Kenyans.
“With Mr Kalonzo Musyoka, who would have been sworn in as Deputy President, out of the country, and with his wiper Party asking that the swearing-in be delayed until his return, the postponement was the only option that existed,” Lone stated.
